Terrorists???No, It's Uncle Sam!!!

"Terrorism and War against Terrorism – these seem to be the latest fad in the world politics. Any violence committed against a non-Muslim country in ‘terrorism’ and if directed towards a Muslim state, it is ‘war against terrorism’.

But this ‘war against terrorism’ has now reached really ridiculous heights. Powerful and developed nations like Britan and the U.S in particular seem to be waiting for the slightest opportunities to create unrest and then wage wars against other countries in this already strife-torn world.

First, it was Afghanistan that had to bear the brunt after it was invaded in the aftermath of 9/11 on the pretext of hunting down bin-Laden. Though the U.S. was successful in driving away the Taliban from the country, they left it in total shambles with no infrastructure whatsoever and poverty rampant. And bin-Laden? Well, there was no sign of him and even after six years, there is still none.

Next, it was Iraq and the pretext – WMD’s. a different country, different excuse but the same story- Saddam Hussein’s tyrannical rule was toppled, the country left on the brink of a civil war. And oh, if you are wondering what happened to all the WMD’s. I think they just vaporized into the thin air!!!!

What next, but another war; only, this time they were involved indirectly. They took advantage of the growing tension between Israel and Hezbollah and when it turned inevitably into war, the U.S. was there- fully backing Israel, providing them with all the ammunition needed, finally turning Lebanon into a mass of burial ground. All this in the name of ‘war against terrorism’.

But that is not all. These people even seem to have a problem with other nations boosting their nuclear power and thus the nation’s defence; North Korea and Iran being examples. It is not as if these countries would come out as a threat to these bigger nations military. And anyway, who are they to be telling others what they should or shouldn’t be doing. All the time, pocking their nose into others’ business is a regular trade for them. After all, the nation’s security is the top most priority of any government. It certainly would not be surprising if, in the near future, we see the U.S. engaged in yet another war- this time the country being Iran or even India!!!

The need of the hour is for these big powers to stop thinking that they have to be the ones solving all the problems and crises faced by other nations and stop medelling with others’
affairs. If we can go back in history, we’ll see that India freed itself from colonial oppression without any foreign help. And very recently too, the people of Nepal, who wanted their king ousted, did that job themselves. They did not need any foreign intervention.

These so-called powers need to realize that they are causing more terror than the terrorists themselves. The sooner the realization comes, the better it is for the world!!!!

Uncle Sam has no other work in life... other than screwing up the peace of other nations, and showing its might to the world. Until other nations too break or blow down Bush's home (obviously, terming it as a war against terrorism), I don't think he's going to realise how it feels to be without a home, and life all screwed up :P

Or maybe he must have some sudden realisation and enlightenment on seeing all the self-created bloodshed, and change, like Ashoka, who killed people by the tons in the battlefield, and went on to say Buddha is great, and I love peace! :)

Human mind is a brilliant object, changes within seconds, isn't it?? ;)
