Remember how you always wanted to be like your older cousins who were allowed to do everything under the sun and had fun unlimited???? Well, I guess we’re there, huh???? So, what does it feel like???? Wish you were back to being ten and going to school, nothing to worry about, breathing easy????? I so wish!!!! The concept of getting to be a teenager was so alluring six years back. It seemed to me that teenagers were separate breed of right thinking, cool-doing, license(to anything and everything………including dating[;)]) holding humans. Little did I know the responsibilities that come with age among others. (don’t forget acne vulgaris and the cute guys [;)] ). Now we’re here, trying to figure out what is required of us in this world. I sometimes feel that I’m stuck on a monorail, leading nowhere. It was fun thinking of ambitions when we were kids, but now here we are about to live them and isn’t that a treat?!!! Being nineteen is a period of choosing what to do in out lives, of recognizing our capabilities and cashing on them rather than do something because of a trend or because your parents want you doing it.
We are at the cross-roads of our lives and if we don’t decide on a right career now, it’s going to be a long haul. We may want to be the most successful in what we choose to do, and may swim in a pool of Rs 1000 notes….. Guess some of us will be going through a time of writing what seems like un-ending competitive exams which may have us questioning our decisions ad-nauseam. One thing has to be understood if you’ve set your mind on something, do it or try doing it( was that the saying anyway?). and don’t be disheartened by minor setback’s, it is the moral victory that counts. We always end up getting support and mental placebos in times of excessive tension, from our friends and family. So don’t just sit tight! Work towards the goal you’ve set your mind on!!!!!!!!!!!
